BHA-22 Peel

Salicylic Acid Peel, also known as Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA), is derived from willow bark. Unlike Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), BHA has an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action, making it ideal for oily and problem skin types. As the only known BHA, Salicylic Acid works as an exfoliant to remove dead skin cells, making way for new skin regeneration.

BHA is oil-soluble, which allows it to penetrate deeply into pores to exfoliate sebum and dead skin cells. This makes it particularly effective for treating oily skin, comedones, and milia. BHA is highly keratolytic, breaking down the outer layers of the skin and reducing its thickness. It is also comedolytic, helping to prevent the formation of blemishes by stopping sebum and skin cells from clogging pores.
